Pictures in Outlook 2007

I have just upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2007 Enterprise edition. All
seems ok except Outlook because I cannot send pictures in my email unless I
send them as attachments, which is not what I want to do. The email with a
picture or perhaps a business logo arrives at its destination with a blank
space where the picture is supposed to be. When I send them to a hotmail
account the pictures are refered to as attachments but if you try to open
them a blank box is all that appears. I have been into the Trust section of
Outlook and unticked the box that says don't download pictures but still no
luck. If I cannot resolve this I will need to revert back to Office 2003
which worked fine.
