Pictures in Windows Word files

Hi John,

You're saying that removing Endnote 7.0's "Cite While You Write" add-in from
the Word X startup folder does not help?

If that's the case, then I don't know what to recommend. I've been told
that, "the red X problem is a bug introduced in Word X by an attempt to
handle the different way OS X goes about layering widows, and so far, there
is no reliable fix for it."

But what kinds of files are the picture files? The article you referred to
talks about problems with EPS. The fact that the graphics are in a Word
document doesn't mean that they don't have their own format.
