Pictures in Word

I added a picture in Word 2004 for mac and the only thing i saw was
the outline of the size of the photo. Why can't i see the photo??

Take a look in Word> Preferences> View, clear the check for Image
Placeholders. While you're there you might also make sure there _is_ a check
in the box for Drawings.

If that isn't the solution you'll need to provide more specific details
about what type of image file, the manner by which you "added" the picture,
as well as your specific update levels for Office & OS X. Also, whether the
picture is visible in certain Views or not visible at any time and whether
it prints even if not displayed on screen.
