Pictures won't display in Word 2002 - blank box appears instead

Pictures within document do not appear on screen on loading file, but can be
seen if you enter Picture..Edit. Doesn't seem to be a problem with the .doc
file because other programs (eg Lotus WordPro) can open them and display the
pictures. Have resintalled Office XP Pro but not fixed.
