Pineapp makes Entourage close

I had a report of an iMac (Intel) that was having problems with Entourage. What I found is that anytime the user selects an email from PineAPP (mail filter system) and had preview enabled, Entourage "goes away."

I turned off preview and then the messages can be selected and deleted.

Entourage 2008 ---- was running 12.1.2 --- I ran the new updates up to 12.1.4 and have the same issue.

I've seen this kind of behavior in the past when a message got corrupted
in some way that Preview could not handle. It definitely indicates that
something in the format of the message cannot be handled by Entourage's
display routines.

What can you tell us about PineAPP? I've never heard of it.

Thank you for the reply. PineApp is a email security appliance that both filters email and also protects from email-related threats. According to support from PineApp:

Why would a .eml file cause Entourage to shut down abruptly? My Mac doesn't do it every time like my colleague's, but I have managed to get mine to do it as well. I have never had it happen on my Windows computer running Outlook 2007 or to anybody else using Windows.

Any help you can suggest would be most appreciated!

None of us have ever heard of Pineapp. If you disable it, do the problems go
away?

Pineapp is front end of the organization Exchange account and cant' be shut off. It is a junk mail filter and anti-virus for corporate email.
