Pinning down FROM Column in INBOX and TO in SENT

O

Otto Roth

Hi,
I forever end up with having a TO column in my INBOX and a FROM column in my
SENT box. Obviously the TO and FROM in these cases will be me !

If I reset it to FROM in INBOX and TO in SENT by whatever means, it will
soon revert to TO - and FROM....

Methods Used to change isare via COlumn Chooser as well as Properties,
Column Chooser.

Any Ideas to permanently burn this into the system memory??

Don't know what you did to change it but if it is caused by a corruption of
the view you can reset this by;
View-> Arrange By-> Custom...-> Reset Current View

Are you still having this problem? If you aren't, how did you resolve it?

If you are, did you try running a "Clean Views" command-line switch?

As for the printing issue, are you running on IE7? I recently read where IE7
can impact how your emails print out (without the header information). There
is a fix for this, I believe.

I have done that - It is only this PC at Work and only with me.

I will reset it now and a bit later I will notice that all the received
mails are to me - the FROM has changed to TO!!!

I do not reboot nor reload Outlook unless I really have to (might be less
than once a week)

Another thing I see on ALL the OL2k3 is that when I print a mail I have
replied to, the print starts with the first line of the text in the Body of
the mail, whereas when I print a mail I originated, it will start with MY
NAME, a line, the To and From, date, etc header.

My solution is to click "Forward" or "Reply" and then print. Then I get the
Heading at least.

Outlook is really going backwards....
