Pinwheels when saving, attaching, etc.

Hi,
I am using Tiger 4.3 and Office 2004 on a powerbook 12². I also use Office
for Mac V10.

I get lots of pinwheels when I want to Save As, Attach a file or Open when
using any Office program.

Also, Word in Office 2004 quits constantly since a style sheet done from an
Office XP version got installed and I can¹t really use it.

I thought it happened only when Skype was operating but even when Skype
isn¹t on, I get the pinwheel. What do I need to do?

How much RAM do you have? How much RAM will your machine take?

Are you connected to a network, using a remote home folder? When I use
Office on a networked machine, I sometimes see similar delays. I'm afraid
there's not much you can do in that case. I haven't seen that at home, when
connected to a simple local area network, however.

RAM max is 1.5 MB and that's what's installed.

That makes some sense. I will disconnect from internet and local networks
