pivot chart as subform - need to update for each record - but how?

Hi, I'm new to Access. I have a report that displays Budget and Actual
expenses along with other info. I've created a Pivot Chart for these two
columns of data called "Budget" and "Actual" using the wizard, it is a
subform that I've pasted into the report. I'd like it to appear as a bar
chart with two vertical bars in the report.

But I don't know how to do this. By dragging the budget and expense fields
and dropping into the pivot chart, it seems to take away the control from
the Record Source as shown in propterties (which properly controls the other
info in the report). From the Pivot Chart itself (via the dropdown box) I
can choose which of the 200 projects to depict. But when it is in the
report, I'd like the Record Source to control this, so that as I flip
through the 200 reports, it will accurately depict the Budget vs Actual for
each project, as it does for the other info.

But I haven't figured out how to do this. I have all the info in the Record
souce query but it doesn't control that Pivot Chart.

Any experts with Pivot Chart experience - I'd sure appreciate your
assistance.

Harold
