Pivot Table and Vlookup

Question:

Is there a way to get a vLookUp column to display in a
PivotTable. What I am doing now is a little bit of gerry-
rigging. I am having to duplicate the vLookUp column in
another column.

Column B = vLookUp( )
Column C = Column B

I was able to do so (using xl 97), i.e. get a vlookup column to display in a
pivot table.
