Pivot table Days to Months

I have a table and one column is Date. The dates are days like 03/03/2015, (next row) 03/04/2015...n. I would like to sum the values of another column based on month possibly with a pivot table but if it has to be done another way I am open to that as well. I am on windows 7 64B and Excel 2010. Any suggestion?
