Pivot Table filter errors

I have created a Pivot Table using Excel. However, I have
noticed that not all of the information in the drop-down
filter boxes is accurate. There are many items in the
drop-down box which no longer exist in the report. Also,
in a column which displays numbers, the filter box does
not show the numbers in numerical order.

Refreshing the table does not fix the problem. Is one of
my settings wrong?

There are instructions here for clearing old items from a PivotTable
dropdown list:

To sort the items in the dropdown list:
Right-click on the field button
Choose Field Settings
Click the Advanced Button
Under AutoSort options, choose Ascending.
Click OK, click OK

Later, you can reset the field to Manual, if you prefer.
