Pivot table - Nmbr format

My pivot table has the data all formatted as currency, but not all detail is
expanded. When I expand any of the data and look at the breakdown detail for
that data, the broken down detail has general formatting. When I change the
properties for each column, it gives me currency like I want. However, if I
close the pivottable and reopen it, the detail is general again. This is
EXTREMELY annoying. Can anybody tell me what is happening here?

Maybe I didn't express myself in a clear manner and nobody was able to get a
handle on what I was asking, therefore nobody gave this a shot.
