Pivot Table showing incorrect fields. Please, help! Thanks

I have a database of prices surveyed at the end of 2
months for 7 products sold in 3 regions. Not all the 7
products are sold in every one of the 3 regions. The
purpose of the survey is to measure how prices change from
month to month.

I created a pivot table that has three columns (Region,
Product and SurveyDate) and one data field (Price). No row
or page fields. The table shows two Date columns (one
showing the price at the end of month1 and the other
showing the price at the end of month2) for every product
sold on their respective regions.

Whenever I add a Calculated-Item formula to my Date field
(to calculate the price differential between the two
months), it forces all the products to be listed under
every region, forcing products to be displayed under
regions where they are not sold. I want to avoid showing
those. By the way, the products forced into regions where
they don't belong show a zero price differential.

Can someone help me understand why this is happening and
show me how to solve it. If you need, I can send you a
simplified example file.

Thank you so much.
