Pivota table and excel session

Hi,

when a select some values from the drop down menu of a
pivot table field, additional excel session is created.
how to avoid that? why does it occur?

If you double-click on a value in a pivot table Excel does
a drill-down which means it opens another worksheet
showing the values that make up the value that was double-
clicked. If you want to avoid this just don't double-click
the pivot table value.
