PivotCharts in Excel 2002

Annelies

When I use a filter (field button) in a PivotChart the
formatting is lost and changed to 'Column', the first
chart type in the list. This happens also when another
chart type is choosen as the default.

I can't imagine that there isn't a solution for this
problem... is there?

Many thanks in advance!

Microsoft even tells you to record a macro the first time you have to
redraw a pivot chart or reformat a pivot table, then run the macro
whenever you update things. You could make a non pivot chart from a
pivot table, and as long as the size of the pivot table stays the same,
your chart will be okay. If you use dynamic ranges in your chart's
source data, you could account for the pivot table changing size in one
direction (not both, unfortunately, not without code).
