In Access 2002, I am experimenting with using a pivot table form as a
subform, and having it's datasource reference a parameter on the parent
form, in order to speed it up. However, despite the fact that pivottable
has a method called refresh and it's supposed to "Refresh the specified
object (reloads source data or repaints the object)", when I change the
param on the parent form and execute that method, the data in the pivot
table does not change. If I use any of the filters built in to the pivot
table it does change. I've also tried a requery to the form itself in
the subform, but what doesn't seem to help.
