Hi Epinn
I must admit, I have never used that second method (and I thought I had
used every technique that Debra describes with PT's<bg>).
If you repeat the process of double clicking the Page field, you can
"unselect" the hidden item(s) to have all showing again.
So, whilst the interface isn't the same as with Rows and Columns, the
functionality is there.

Roger,
Thanks.
or Column, in that the latter 2 have options to tick (All) or any number
of individual items, then I totally agree and do not understand why the
behaviour was made different.
Yes, this is my complaint.
I know there are two methods to get around. What you have outlined is
one. The second method is this.
************************************************************************
Use the following technique to display multiple items from a Page field.
1.. Double-click the Page field button, to display the PivotTable
Field dialog box.
2.. From the Hide items list, select the items you want to hide.
3.. Click OK.

I was trying to figure out how to unhide. If we can hide, we should be
able to unhide??
Thanks.

I'm not sure I fully understand what you are after here. You don't need
to use "Hide" and "Unhide" from the PT toolbar
If you had items A,B,C and D in a field called Dept and you drag that
field to a Page area, your choice on the dropdown are
(All),A,B,C,D and you can select any of the 5 options, but you cannot,
for example show B&C together.
If you have Dept as a Row or Column item, you could select B & C only,
and then drag Dept to the Page area when your options are (All) B,C but
if you tick All it shows as (Multiple items) not All, because it is not
showing all of the items that do occur within Dept., only B & C.
Dragging back to Row or Column, and a single click of All, then dragging
back to Page will revert to the situation outlined first in this
message.
If your complaint is, the behaviour of Page is different to that of Row
or Column, in that the latter 2 have options to tick (All) or any number
of individual items, then I totally agree and do not understand why the
behaviour was made different.

I wish the page field of the PivotTable is more user friendly. In order
to select multiple items, I hide the items that I don't want and then
select (all) to get the multiple items. I am wondering if there is an
easier way to *unhide* when I am done. Currently, I drag the page field
button to the row fields area to select/deselect etc. and then drag the
page field button back to its place.
Appreciate advice.
