Pivottable locks up the worksheet selection tab

I seem to have found a new problem that started yesterday and continues on
any worksheet in which I have a pivottable.

When I select the worksheet with the pivottable, I can no longer select tabs
for other worksheets. I can select any cell on the pivottable worksheet, type
in any cell, and basically do anything except select another worksheet,
unless I do the following:

1. Select (highlight) the pivottable by clicking on any cell INSIDE the
pivottable (this activates the field list).

2. Select any cell OUTSIDE the pivottable.

I must perform these actions in order; then I can resume selecting other
worksheets.

???????!!!!!!!!???????

I maybe changed some option I don't know about or something. I can't explain
this. It only started yesterday but affects every workbook with pivottables.

Please help!

Does anyone else have the same issue with the same workbooks?
Do you have problems with other people's workbooks where they perhaps don't?
Have you tried Help / Detect and repair?
