How do I change with of column range to 117 pixels

PS. Using Microsoft XP edition

You Can: select the column Goto>format>Column width and enter 18.67
or you can: move your cursor between the column heading (right side) of the
column you want to widen, when the cursor turns into an arrow the points both
right and left, click and drag it to the right reading the pixel count and
stop at 117.
