Outlook 2003
I like plain text, Courier, and have the following settings:
Tools-Options-Mail Format-Fonts
....Composing, Replying and Forwarding, Composing and Reading Plain Text
All set to Courier New 10 pt.
Tools-Options-Preferences-E-mail Options
[x] Read all standard mail in Plain Text.
When an email comes in, it says "This message was converted to plain text." But it
is displayed in the preview pane and in its own mail window using something like
Arial, not Courier.
When I reply or compose an email, I always use plain text, but it is composed in
Arial. If the window is open for a while (5-10 minutes?) before sending, it reverts
to Courier. When sending, the spell checker changes lines with highlighted words to
Courier.
This worked fine with Courier until a few months ago. Would the Windows XP SP2 have
hosed this behavior?
The Google archives suggest the options settings I have above, and which I've had
since day 1. Nothing helps fix the plain text problem.
