Create your tasks.
Assign the material resources needed.
Save a baseline.
View the task usage view. (It shows the material assignments to each task.
If you wish to track on a time-scaled basis (how many units per day or per
week etc.) choose Format-> Detail Styles and add the actual work field to the
right side of the Task Usage view. (You may also add the Baseline Work as
well.)
You may insert the Baseline Work column and Actual Work column to the Usage
table as well to see planned material usage (Baseline Work) and Actual usage
(Actual work) for each material assignment.
You may use the Resource Usage View and add Baseline Work and Actual Work to
the usage table to view Baseline material usage per material and actual
material usage.
