Plan update weekly

Hi,
I just changed my job and here in project plan development they follow a
rude method of putting Resource name in summary task and then under him
assign the tasks. Its like they track only weekly tasks covered by that
resource.

My question is the next week i come, i have to make a copy of that project
file and then update it. Do we have any option in MSPP 2007 wher i can hide
previous weeks tasks and then update this weeks, so that at any point in time
i can get the data for past weeks too.
If there is any other way please do suggest.
Thanks
Maxim

Hello Max,

I'm not sure I follow your set up precisely. It sounds as though
the project plan has been created with each resource's name listed
as a summary task and then underneath is the list of each task that
the resource is assigned to?

Is it possible you are looking at the Resource Usage view? The
resource usage view does show each resource listed, and then
indented underneath each resource's name, represented by the name of
the task, is the assignment for that resource to that task.

You have also posted your question in the developer newsgroup -- are
you attempting to create a macro or VBA code to update actual data?

A bit more clarification from you would be helpful.
