Planning meetings

What would be the best way to plan meetings. In some large projects we have
a budget for meetings (ex. 5days). When we are creating the project plan, we
do not know the exact days yet. Even more, those meetings are not done in 5
following days. There will be a meeting the first week, next another 0,5d
the next week etc
Does anybody has any suggestions how he is handling this problem ?

My way of handling meetings is to ignore them.
Consider them a cost of getting the work done.
The overhead of modeling and updating them will reduce your efficiency.
Unless the meeting results in a deliverable, perhaps an approval of some key
item of your project, it is not important enough to model. I'd consider
tracking them I the project had a problem of having too many meetings and I
needed data to resolve the issue, but other than that, don't collect data
that will not be used for some practical purpose.
People eat lunch everyday. It takes approximately 12% of all working time.
Do you model it?
How about coffee breaks, bathroom time, sick days?
