Plans for VB support in 2010

In the Mactopia forum on Excel 2008, JE McGimpsey wrote on Jan 17, 2008 that:

"Microsoft... ...decided that shipping Office 08 without VBA was a better option than shipping Office 2010 with VBA."

Does this mean that we can look forward to a version of Excel for Mac in 2010, (other than Excel 2004 and older), that is compatible with Excel workbooks containing VB macros?

Or does it mean that Microsoft never plans to provide full, compatible functionality on Mac OS X?

It was formally announced by MS more than a year ago that VBA support would
be restored in the next release of Mac Office.

Not wanting to put words in JE's mouth, but I believe what he meant was
"Microsoft decided it was better to ship Office in 2008 without VBA than to
wait until 2010 when they would have VBA ready."

As Bob says, they announced more than a year ago that they will ship again
in 2010, WITH VBA.

Hope this helps
