Playback won't

I use playback in notebook mode a lot and suddenly it stopped working.
I get all the signs that it is recording properly, but when I click on
the playback icon nothing happens exept that the computer is playing
the file. I get no sound, no indication on the volume that anything is
there. I'm using Tiger.

Someone with a similar problem said it was due to a glitch in Quicktime.
Does your quicktime player work fine? Are you getting audio from the
computer other ways--e.g., can you hear songs in iTunes, etc? Have you
messed with the volume?
