Playing back typed text

I have Office Pro 2003 and I noticed that the software has Dictation - can I
only use the speech on it?

What I am looking to do is to have the voice read back what I typed without
using the dictation first. I would like to type a letter myself and then have
the software play back what I just typed. I do not want to use the dictation
part of the program.

Can this be done and if so how?

You have Windows XP? Highlight the text and press Winkey+S. The narrator
will read it to you.
