playing portions of video in a powerpoint presentation

I've inserted some video into a powerpoint but don't want to play it all at
once. I want it to stop in one part and then play another part a few minutes
later. How do I set it so that it plays, for example, 0:00 - 2:23 in one
slide and 10 slides later so that it plays 3:00 - 4:25 of the video, for
instance. I know that this can be done with a music CD but not sure about
quicktime video. Again, I am not looking to set a timer to delay the play of
a video in a slide but to play different portions of it throughout a
powerpoint presentation.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

First thing - Quicktime and Powerpoint dont mix well (unless you have a Mac)!

Best way to get what you want is to edit the video which is pretty easy in
Movie Maker in Windows and I guess even easier on a Mac

I had no idea I had Movie Maker. It's working. Just have to learn how to
really use it now. Again, thanks John.

You might consider using PFCPro for this as you can "trim" the video file
pretty much anyway you want directly in PowerPoint.
