Playing Videos in PPT

I've saved an avi file that I got online, and edited it with Windows Movie
Creator. After adding some transitions and cutting the video clip, I tried
inserting it into a PowerPoint presentation. While I can get the frame of the
video to show up, I do not see any video. However, the audio quality is fine.
I believe I have enough specs to run video on my computer (1.7; 512 megs; 128
mb video card), and my edited clip works fine with Windows Movie Creator. I
tried to use the original avi file instead of the edited file. The frame that
appears in PPT is black.

If the audio plays and but showing a black screen, its probably a codec

As for using the original video, the path may be longer than 128 characters.

Ok, I went to the PFC website and dowloaded all the prerequisites needed to
downoad that program, and when I attempted to run the installer, I got this
error message:
"Run time error '76'
Path Not Found"

Turning of hardware acceleration or anything of that sort didn't do any good.
