Sometimea a person (like me) wants to do a worksheet for a report without
going on Microsoft Excel, doing many sets of simple addition (+) or minus/
subtraction(-), as for bookkeeping, to check the accuracy of a column (such
as CASH), without typing in a lot of formulas., or doing it in your head.

These are already available on your standard keyboard, like the one I am
using right now = "+" "-" "x", etc.

Or you can use the Insert->Symbol. Already there, suggest you do some
exploring.

Hi A.,

MS Word has an old command (ToolsCalculate) available that may help you
do this. See if the information in this article helps.
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/general/ToolsCalculate.htm
or if you have your numbers typed into Word in a column, such as

100

-99

+4

You can select that column, use Ctrl+C to Copy, then start the Windows calculator from Start=>Programs=>Accessories, paste into the
calculator and click on the calculator's equal key.
