please answer a simple question ...

J

JB

I am no programmer, and no access expert, but I have a simple database that
I have written. My question is, is it possible to save this as a stand
alone program that could run without someone haveing access on their
computer?

Thanks for your patience, I know its annoying to have dopes like me interupt
your newsgroup. : )

Hi JB,

Providing answers to questions is the purpose of the newsgroup!

You can not build a stand alone version of your program. If you have the
Microsoft Office Developers edition you are able to create distributable
runtime versions of the product which you include with your database but
that's about as close as it gets to being a stand alone version.

I have Office 2000 Premium, is that included in my version?

No, you would have to have the Office 2000 Developer's Edition.

No. Office Developers Edition is a separate license and set of
programs (which costs aroung $499, if you can get it at all; Microsoft
is now pushing version 2003).
