Hi
Dear friends
I'm using Word XP 2003,I changed heading 2 style to what I've needed,
(style based on=no style)
I defined font size 10, sometimes when I am using heading 2, the
font in the text size change to 12.and sometimes it work correctly, I
don't know why?
another question, I'm using for example heading 2, in a part of my
text, I decided to change the color of the text to green or I change
the font size to 12, the Word create a new style, is this necessary?
could I prevent from this?
good luck

Hi Somia -

As to your 2nd question: Keep in mind that one of the primary aspects of a
style is *consistency* - if you have a style applied to a paragraph, then
directly change some aspect of that paragraph's formatting it's not any
longer formatted with the same style, it's a hybrid so to speak. Word is
trying to keep track of what has actually been applied. Most appropriately,
if you want one paragraph formatted similarly - but not the *same* - as
others it's best to define a separate style "based on" the other.

To answer your first question, I'm not really clear on what you mean. Is
everything with that style applied changing to 12 pt, only only specific
paragraph. More specific clarification is needed.

However, you've actually been misdirected to the Mac Word group, so follow
this link to get to the ones that are specifically for PC Word;
