hi my names grace,
i have a microsoft windows xp which i have had for a number of years.
i have a problem with using microsoft office, which i think i have the
microsoft office standard edition 2003 version. i would like to be
able to use microsoft office and all it's features. but the problem is
when i try and use microsoft windows word 2003 a "windows office 2003
activation wizard" window pops up telling me that "microsoft office
standard edition 2003 trial expired on 30th september 2004". i press
convert to convert to the full product entering the product key. it
tells me that i have entered a valid product key. it also tells me
that the document is locked.

what should i do and how can i use it?

please could you help me thank you very much

kind regards

grace

If you didn't pay extra for it, you only got a trial version. chances are if
you walked into Ye Olde Computer Store and walked out with several boxes
(and a lighter wallet), you did not get the full version of Office. A lot of
computers come with a trial version preinstalled. I suspect that is your
situation.

You have a couple of options:
1. Try to find someplace that is still selling Office 2003.
2. Buy Office 2007.
3. Buy Works Suite. This option may or may not work for you depending on
your needs.
3. Try one of the other office-type suites, such as Corel Office X3, Open
Office, or Google's web-based apps.
4. Do without. Probably not a great option but...
