Please fix a new bug in the user-defined DASL filter in Outlook 20

In the contact view filter for Outlook 2007, the functionality of the
user-defined DASL filter has been rendered essentially useless, most likely
due to an accidental deletion of relevant code. In Outlook 2003, one can use
hierarchical criteria to establish a view filter. In 2007, although there is
a DASL tab and the data may be edited, an error will result if the criteria
are more complex than what are available from the other tabs. Error handling
is mixed; there have usually been harmless notices that the DASL filter is
too complex, but once it displayed a generic error message and corrupted my
contacts database.

If you have a retail version of Office/Outlook 2007, I suggest that you file a support incident on this issue. This is the best way to let Microsoft know that there's a problem with the application. Making a suggestion here isn't going to do anything, especially not without exact, detailed steps to reproduce the problem. Unlimited support for Office/Outlook 2007 is free for the first 90 days after activation. See http://support.microsoft.com/gp/vista_supoffnew for more information on this support policy.
