Please help Cannot open Visio file

My computer crashed while working on a very important file
and when I try to open it it says Error (100) Visio cannot
open file because its not a visio file... but it is! I
installed the patch after that for future problem but it
did not fixed my current one... I need my file.. please
help

Sorry, but once you receive Error 100 it is game over for that file and time
to restart from your last backup of the file.
