Please help: 'Change working time' does NOT change working time

I want to change an existing project from the standard calendar from the standard calendar to the 24 hrs calendar.
Used 'Project', "Change working time" and selected calendar '24 hrs'. I see the hours in that dialog box change.
But then when I click OK, my project is still on the Std calendar, and if I click on 'Change work time' again, I see the calendar has always been 'Standard'.

Any idea why it won't change?

I would try changing it in Project information too. If you cant do it that way, you could manually change the calendar in the Calendar Type field and fill down to the remaining tasks in the schedule. Let me know if that works.
