Dear Group,
I am having big difficluty in fixing the Microsoft Word
2002 in my computer. I receive the following message each
time I start using Microsoft Word 2002: "The macros on
this project are disabled. Please refer to the online help
or documentation of the host application to determine how
to enable macros".

I tried my best. I opened macros, reduced the security,
etc. Unfortunately, it did not work. Well, simply I had
enough. I don't know how to make it funtion normally like
it use to be.

I really appreciate your kindness and full support at your
earliest convenience. Best regards.

Yours,
Arafat A. AlShuaibi
PS. I am running Windows XP Pro.

On the Trusted Sources tab of Tools | Macro | Security, be sure that you
have checked "Trust all installed add-ins and templates." This will take
care of all templates and add-ins in all your template folders and the Word
Startup folder. It will *not* extend to the Office Startup folder, so if you
continue to have problems, that is the next place to look. Sometimes you
will find an add-in there that can be moved to Word's Startup folder (if
it's one that's *only* for Word), or it may be something you can dispense
with altogether (something you don't use anyway). In any case, when you
start Word, you should get an option to always trust that add-in.

Arafat,

The message you are receiving does indeed indicate that
the macro security settings are set to High, which
prevents them from running. Normal procedure for enabling
the macros requires that you first lower the security
level by clicking...

Tools | Macro | Security: and selecting a lower level.
Preferably Medium. Also mark the check box for add-ins and
templates on the Trusted Sources tab. Have you used this
method?
