Please Help: Most Visio Options Grayed Out - Can't Edit Drawings

Hello,
I have been using this copy of Office Visio Standard 2007 since about
November and last week suddenly it refused to cooperate. I am able to
open all my files but I can not edit them in any way. Most of the
buttons as well as the drop down menus are grayed out. I can not
create a new project as it won't let me drag any shapes into my
drawing. Has this ever happened to anyone - and what can I do about
it? I have tried to reinstall the software a few times but it does
not seem to make a difference. I don't think this matters but I am
using a MacBook and this is happening on my Windows side.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like reduced functionalty mode due to not activating the
application. In Visio click on the Help menu and click Activate Product.
You'll either get a prompt that it's already activated or it will start the
activation wizard and you can try to activate over the Internet or by phone.

I'd also recommend updating to the latest service pack for Visio 2007
(SP1).

Also, update to Microsoft Update to get all the Office updates
automatically. Go to http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate, click
Start Now, and install the ActiveX control.
