PLEASE HELP - objects inside drawing canvas have disappeared/delet

I really need help with this as I have been using Word 2007 to write up a
massive university project I have been working on in the last year. It has a
load of diagrams in for which I have used the drawing canvas object and drawn
inside them.

However now loads of the drawing canvas have just gone blank - all the
objects within then seem to have disappeared or been deleted!!! In fact even
when I select the old drawing canvas object it doesnt appear to be a drawing
canvas anymore as none of the options in the format tab are avaliable.

Please help I really need a solution for this as I don't have time to redo
all my drawings. I have tried changing the view to outline view etc and it
makes no difference.

Thanks

Al

I have a similar problem. I just purchased a new laptop. It has Windows XP
and Word 2007. If I attempt to paste a picture (.jpg, etc.) in Word, the box
in which the picture would appear is visible, but the picture does not
appear. If I click on the right side of the box and move it inward a bit,
the picture appears, but it appears matted, not clear and sharp. I never had
problems with inserting pics in the old version of Word. I have no idea what
is going on. My wife does not experience this problem, and she has XP and
Word 2007 as well.
