Please Help! Office Source Engine did not install

Hello. My parents recently purchased a new Dell desktop. In addition, they
also purchased Office 2003 Professional this past weekend. I somewhat
successfully installed it but I need advice what to do.

I inserted the Office 2003 Pro CD and installed all components. Towards the
end of the installation it asked me if I wanted to delete the cache files or
keep them on my harddisk (something along those lines). I chose to keep them
on my harddrive. Soon after, a screen informed me that the installation was
successful.

So I restarted my pc and a window appeared on the desktop saying something
about "new hardware found....office source engine driver not installed". So
it gave me choices to look on the internet or insert the installation cd. I
chose the "installation cd" option, inserted the cd and it still it wasn't
found. So I uninstalled the program, restarted the pc and reinstalled the
program and the message did not appear. At this point, I thought everything
was perfect. However, I went to system>hardware>device manager and "other
devices" has a yellow ?. When I click on the + sign it reads "office source
engine" with a yellow ? and yellow !. When I go into properties it reads,
"the drivers for this device or not installed (code 28)".

As of this morning (according to my parents), they called me and informed me
that the programs they use (Excel, Word, PP) seem to be working fine all
weekend long with no problems thus far. Upon further research, I found two
POSSIBLE related Microsoft websites (
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;834581 and
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011402031033.aspx ) that may
or may not be related to my problem.

With that said, I need to know what "bad" things could happen to my parents
Office 2003 installation in the short/long run, what are the limitations to
their installation if they don't have the "office source engine" driver/file
and any advice or suggestions what I should do for them. Maybe the file is
not even needed...I really don't know.

Thank you in advance. By the way, they have P4, 2.8mhz, 256, 40hd (oddly
enough when I go to control panel it reads 33.5hd) and WinXP home edition.

Thank you. Rochelle
