Hello, and hopefully good day to you, but not me...
I have a database that uses and mdw security. i think the problem lies
outside of security, but i really don't know. The link i use opens up access,
but does not open the mdb, and a pop up states that the file cannot be found.
So i checked my syntax and my spelling, and yet still the same. i even
restored the link from backup, no avail. i tried to import into a new
database, and it said that the file was in use by another user exclusively.
there are no ldb's, and i even checked the file usage on my network, and NO
file in that folder is even in use. this is a major db that runs 24 hrs, and
it has been down since 5pm yesterday.
ps - we did have a very brief power outage yesterday around 5pm, but battery
backup took care of servers, but i dont know about users pc's.
does anyone know how to get the lock off the database?
Vey much TIA
