Hi there
A friend of mine has just phoned me to say that her thesis that she has been
working on (Word 2000) has been corrupted somehow.
She was working on it last night (it's set to autosave and she manually
saved it before closing it) and today when she tried to open it, it opened
but all she has on her page are series of little squares (as she described
it). The doc is about 1.9Mb in size so I'm guessing it's fairly large?
I've never come across this and I'm checking in Google as well. If anyone
can point me to a fix that would be much appreciated.
After some reading I have got her to copy and paste the doc into another
folder on her D: drive (which she didn't know she had) and we have tried to
convert that file to RTF and back to a Word Document with no joy.
She is going to email me the doc and I'll try whatever I can at my end to
recover it for her. I have Office 2003 installed on my system.
Any suggestions very much appreciated.
Cheers
