Please help with number formatting

I have created a chart in an Access report. I have picked the option to
display the datatable with the chart. All of the data being displayed is
stored as the currency format in a table, but when I do a print preview of
the report the numbers in the datatable have no formatting. I have also
picked the option to edit the datatable and I have changed the formatting to
currency so the numbers are all displayed correctly when I'm in design mode
of the report but when I hit the print preview button the numbers in the data
table have no formatting at all. They are displayed as 12345678 but I need
them to be displayed as $12,345,678.

I'm using Access 2000
