I have never done this part before and I really need some guidance. I have
a BE MDB in 2002-2003 format and a FE MDB in 2002-2003 format. I am
linking to the BE tables. I have a very simple FE to start. One report,
one form for viewing and one form that allows data entry into one table
only. I created a Super User and assigned it to a dev group that has all
permissions to do anything. I created a appuser and an appadmin which
basically have only read access. The appadmin user has permissions to
update one table. Now I am ready to package this little app for my users.
My users do not have access and so I have the MS Office Access 2003
Developer Extensions. What do I do now? I have tried to create an MDE
file from my access, but it hangs. I tried to go through the developer
extensions and create a custom startup or go through the package wizard and
I get errors. Can someone point me in the right direction? Are there
particular steps to follow? I want to keep this very simple, but I need to
get the access runtime passed to my users.
Thanks,
Karen
