My IBM clone, desktop came with office 2000 pre installed.
When I try to update on the web I am asked to install
original disks which did not come with my computer. The
company I bought my computer from is no longer in
existence.

Do I have any options other than repurchasing the office
software from another vendor?

You will need to repurchase the software from another vendor if you have no
recourse with your system builder.
