I have reports in Access 97 that I email out to a group of
individuals and I have been using the "SEND" option and
emailing the reports as a SnapShot. It was working Great!
All of a sudden it started to go south on me. The file
extensions were not coming up as a ".snp" they were coming
up as a ".xls" MS Excel extension. If I was to change the
extension to a ".snp" it worked great, but if I tried to
open the document with the ".xls" extension I would get
garbage.
I had my IT guys(the experts), try to fix without success.
They uninstalled and reinstalled Access 97 and MS Office
including MS Outlook. I still have the same problem. Every
time I try to do a "SEND OBJECT" in a ".rtf" or a ".snp"
or a ".txt" or even a ".HTML" the extension always comes
up as a ".xls". Very frustrating. Has anyone come acroos
this before? If so how do I correct it?
