Please Help!

Hey, I have Windows XP and I'm having a problem with MS
Word 2000. Every time I try to enter Word I get an error
message that says, "Microsoft Word for Windows has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience." I have tried just about
everything--installing and reinstalling, using the repair
function, turning off Norton Anti-Virus, deleting my
printer, etc., etc. and I have been to www.mpvs.com site
too, still nothing. Can anyone help me please??
