I have a user with a spanish localized Windows XP installation and
English-language Office 2003 pro installed on a PC.
He is an english-speaking person who is trying to learn spanish, and is
going for an immersive environment on this particular PC.
When he attempts to install the Spanish (3082) MUI pack, from the CD with
spanish on it, he sees spanish as an unavailable (but checked) option.
He hasn't installed a spanish-language version of office, just the english
one.
When I tried to have him run setup from the command line, the error he saw
was something like "Please install Office 2003 Professional first and then
install the MUI...".
He definitely has office 21003 pro installed already, and I had him try
running setup with various /f switches, too, none of which worked (same
error, I think, but I'll have to check to e sure). I am currently awaiting
the results of having him do a "repair" from add/remove programs on his
office installation, but I'm looking for any pointers or prior experience
with this that anyone might have.
