I tried to find some examples/templates for Visual Modelling using Visio,
but so far with no success... (i been looking in the tool templates and in
the microsoft gallery at the web as well, but seems there arent any basic
examples)

Can anyone help me..

ps. I'been triying to model the working departments of my company and its
interactions and i thought vision with UML Modeling can help me out...
Let me know if this is possible.. or there is any other tool i could use.

You don't say what version of Visio you're using, and which edition
(Standard, Professional, etc.). That is important.

I've been using Sparx Enterprise Architect from
http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/. It's much richer than Visio as a UML tool,
supports UML 2.0, and it's very affordable.
