"please wait while setup prepares the necessary files"
A few days ago this message started appearing for a few seconds every time I
use, modify or try to work with a word, excel, or powerpoint document. It is
very annoying!It interrupts any command (such as print) that I am trying to
use. any thoughts?

Have you tried repairing the installation by re-installing Office?

Do you have multiple versions of Office installed?

I have only one version, Office 2007 on Vista Ultimate. I will try your
suggestion in the next couple days. The problem is extremely annoying and
slows down my work tremendously. Thanks!.
