Please wait while windows configures Microsoft Application

Hi,

I've recently removed the trial version of MS Office 2007 from my PC, and
since then, whenever I open a MS Office 2000 application a dialogue box
appears with the following message: "Please wait while windows configures
Microsoft [application name] 2000 SR-1". The dialogue box appears for approx
5 secs but doesn't seem to slow down my PC. It's more annoying than anything
else.

Any suggestions as to why this has just started to appear after the removal
of 2007 and how can I stop it?

EVERYTHING IS FINE NOW. I REMOVED MS WORKS FROM MY PC AND THAT SEEMS TO HAVE
DONE THE TRICK. DON'T KNOW IF IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO BUT I NO LONGER
GET THAT DAMN ANNOYING DIALOGUE BOX POPPING UP.
